Bernadette Inglis has officially commenced her role as Newcastle Permanent’s new CEO.

Monday 1 July, 2019.

Appointed in December last year, Bernadette Inglis brings impressive experience from roles in financial services giants, including her most recent position, Group General Manager of Westpac’s Retail & Premium Bank.

“I feel extremely grateful to be given the opportunity to lead Newcastle Permanent, which is recognised throughout the financial services industry as a leader in true customer-centricity and community support,” Bernadette said.

“I’ve already experienced a warm reception from the Board and Executive Management team, and I’m excited to meet the rest of the team shortly.

“Having recently relocated to Newcastle, I’m still exploring the local area, enjoying the villages and local produce and meeting my new neighbours. It’s an exciting time and opportunity for me both professionally and personally.

“I’m also looking forward to the opportunity to meet more members of the Hunter business community as I settle in to the role,” Bernadette said.

Meet our new CEO

Hi, my name is Bernadette Inglis and I am the new Chief Executive Officer of Newcastle Permanent.

It is my great pleasure to introduce myself, and to join such a wonderful organisation.

I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to lead a customer-owned organisation that shares my values.
My focus has always been, and will always remain, firmly on customers and the people in our communities.
Newcastle Permanent’s organisational values are what attracted me to this role, and I am committed to championing the customer-owned banking model.
I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the deep connection between Newcastle Permanent and the community, a connection that extends for over 115 years.

It’s an exciting time to join Newcastle Permanent as our digital evolution is well under way and already enhancing our services.

I’m looking forward to working closely with our team to deliver amazing service and continue our strong performance.

I feel proud and privileged to be part of the Newcastle Permanent team and to lead this very special organisation into the future. Thank you for your support.
