Updates to our digital space

We have listened to your feedback and continually develop and improve our online services

We recently expanded our social media presence from Facebook, Youtube and LinkedIn, to join Twitter as @NewcastlePerm and Instagram as @newcastlepermanent. Now you can keep up to date with what we are working on and what’s happening in your local community on your favourite social media accounts. Jump over to our new pages and connect with us, we’d love to hear from you.

We’ve also been busy improving our digital banking services for customers.

In case you missed it, we recently introduced these great new features:

  • Activate your debit and credit cards through the app or Internet Banking. To activate your card on the app simply logon, select ‘Cards’ from the left hand menu, then ‘Activate card’. If you are on Internet Banking, select ‘Activate card’ from the ‘Services’ menu.
  • Notify us of an upcoming overseas trip using Internet Banking. Adding a trip is simple, select ‘Services’ from the main menu, ‘Overseas travel’ and then follow the prompts to enter in your trip details.
  • Log on with Touch ID for iOS users and the fingerprint biometric option for our AndroidTM users. These features allow you to log on to our app without having to enter your passcode. If you already use this feature on your device you’ll automatically get prompted to enable it so you can enjoy more secure and convenient on-the-go-banking. 

Our most recent upgrade to Internet Banking included an ‘Information’ section in the ‘Services’ tab. This section will allow you to stay up to date with recent enhancements on the ‘What’s new’ page, and includes a section for you to provide us with feedback on your digital banking experience.

Our upcoming app release will include some great features such as notifying us of upcoming overseas trips, having a default account automatically selected as well as multiple improvements to the payment screens.

There’s still plenty more to come in future upgrades, including a log off screen survey! This will allow us to continue to tailor functionality based on the quality of each online banking session you have.

    Security against Loan

    The car should be less then eight years old and for personal use only.

    The motorcycle should be less then seven years old at the end of the loan term. Please note that only on-road and dual purpose motorcycles are accepted as security for a Personal Loan.

    To be used as security this account must be held with the Newcastle Permanent. If you would like to transfer your Term Deposit to the Newcastle Permanent please contact our Member Support Centre on 13 19 87.

    If the property is mortgaged, the mortgage must be held with the Newcastle Permanent to be accepted as security. If you would like to transfer your Mortgage to the Newcastle Permanent please contact our Member Support Centre on 13 19 87.

    Financial statements for the past two financial years will be required to support your application.

    Please note that unemployment benefits are not accepted as eligible income to apply for a Personal Loan. You may contact our Member Support Centre directly on 13 19 87 for further clarification on acceptable sources of income.

    Acceptable Pension type: Aged, Disability, Veterans Affairs and Carers. If you are receiving any other type of pension you may not be eligible for a Personal Loan. Please contact our Member Support Centre on 13 19 87 to discuss your eligibility.
