We’ve introduced some great new features

To kick start the New Year, here are some great new online banking features as requested by you to make life a little easier:

  • Choose a Card PIN: You can now choose your own PIN for a new or existing card without having to go to an ATM! If it’s a new card, you no longer have wait for a PIN to arrive in the mail. Activate your card first and then you are ready to set your PIN. If you have forgotten your PIN or would like to change your current PIN for any of your cards, just choose a new one. In the side bar menu (for the App) or the drop down menu (for Internet Banking) select Cards – Card PIN – select account – select card number – enter your 4 digit PIN. It’s that easy!
  • Manage your daily payment limits: You can now increase your daily payment limit for Pay Anyone, Osko and BPAY®. This comes in handy when you want to make a larger purchase or payment. When you are done, you can reduce your limit again to an amount you are more comfortable with. To make this change, in the side bar menu (for the App) or the drop down menu (for Internet Banking) select Manage Accounts – Payment Limits. If you suspect fraudulent activity on your account, you can set the limit to zero ($0.00) to stop any new online payments from happening. What a great way to protect yourself!
  • Overseas travel notification: Let us know online what your overseas travel plans are and if you intend to use your cards while away. This way we can keep an eye on your money and can check for any suspicious account activity while you can do more important things – like enjoying your holiday! If you’re using the App, open the side bar menu bar and select My Details - Overseas Travel. If you are logged into Internet Banking select Services - Overseas Travel. You can add your trip, select your travel dates, and provide us with any additional information.

We’ve also introduced some brand new features to our website and YouTube Channel:

  • Untangling Finance video series: Want to understand the differences between fixed and variable interest rates, or having trouble getting your head around the home loan application process? Never fear! Our Untangling Finance videos found on our YouTube channel help make everything a little clearer and easier to get your head around. Simply search ‘Newcastle Permanent’ on YouTube then click through onto our playlists tab to uncover the series.
  • We want to hear from you! We have recently added a Feedback tab on our website. This sits on the right hand side of all of our webpages (or down the bottom for mobile visitors) and gives you an easy way to provide anonymous feedback at any time during your website visit.
