More than 830 competitors turned out for the Mudgee Running Festival, despite the morning temperature dipping to -6C.

Monday, 21 August, 2017.

Serious competitors and fun runners, alike, gathered at Lawson Park on Sunday, 20 August, for the annual Mudgee Running Festival. Runners and visitors who braved the chilly weather were treated to Mudgee's renowned scenery and hospitality in the home of the Central West’s picturesque vineyards.

Families flocked to the CBD ready to run, or walk, in the four events: the Wilpinjong Fun Run/Walk, Newcastle Permanent 10km, Pieter van Gent/Lowe Wines Half Marathon and the Moolarben Marathon.

Local Newcastle Permanent teams laced their joggers and were on-hand to congratulate runners as they crossed the finish line. Bottled water was provided by our staff members to ensure runners remained hydrated.

A special mention to Mudgee Triathlon Club for hosting this successful event for the 17th consecutive year.

Congratulations to the winners on their incredible achievement and to everyone who completed the race!
