Newcastle Permanent Charitable Foundation has announced the appointment of experienced health service executive, Jane Gray as a non-executive Director to its Board.
Charitable Foundation Chair, Phil Neat said Jane’s appointment brings great experience and understanding of the health, education and research sectors. She currently holds positions as a non-executive director on other Boards, including Committee for the Hunter, Hunter Postgraduate Medical Institute and Rigpa Fellowship.
Jane’s appointment further enhances the Charitable Foundation Board’s solid governance model and passion for community and the charity sector, which is shared by all our Directors,” Phil said. “Her knowledge and skills fit well with our mission and grant-giving model to bring benefit to our disadvantaged and marginalised community members.
Gray is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, holds a Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Arts (Communication). She has extensive experience in organisational culture, innovation and research, customer relationship management and building partnerships to deliver results.
Jane said she was looking forward to applying her skills and experience to a most reputable organisation which has for over 15 years delivered significant community benefit totalling more than $19 million.

Newcastle Permanent Charitable Foundation is governed by its own Board of Directors, comprising Newcastle Permanent and Community Directors. Jane joins other Charitable Foundation Directors: Phil Neat (Chair), Jennifer Leslie, Mike Rabbitt, Kurt Fearnley and Chad Watson.
