The sun was shining as more than 700 people gave up their Sunday morning sleep in to take part in the Newcastle Permanent Tamworth Ten Running Festival.
There was a race for all abilities from the Bob Jane Community 4km Walk, Tamworth Shopping World 5km Fun Run, Newcastle Permanent Tamworth 10km and the PRD Realty Half Marathon.
Furry friends joined the race with Tucky, the assistance dog and owner Rebecca Linich completing the half marathon and Tamworth Tri Club President, Warren Ansell running the 5km wearing a gorilla suit.
The enthusiastic Tamworth branch team were on the ground handing out bottled water and congratulating participants at the finish line.
Tamworth Ten Running Festival is just one way we support the good stuff in our community and help to promote a healthy, active lifestyle.
