Using our online funding portal
Using our online portal
Our Foundation uses the Blackbaud Grantmaking software system for receiving grant applications and managing reporting. This system has recently been upgraded to make it simpler and easier to use.
If this is your first time using the portal, you should find it straightforward. You will need to set up an account and password before you can start your application. A good tip is to use a generic email address from your organisation as your login if you can (eg info@charity.org). This will make it easier for other people from your team to log in too.
If you have previously used our grant portal to apply for a grant your login will no longer work. You will need to set up a new account and password. We have provided some frequently asked questions about the changes.
What is happening?
The grants portal we are using is being upgraded. From 1 October, all new grant applications will be received through the new system.
If you are a current partner with our Foundation, we will work with you on an individual transition plan to help you with your reporting and acquittal requirements.
What is different about the new system?
The new system is simpler and more intuitive to use. It has enhanced autosave functionality which means there is less chance of losing your work. It is also easier to upload supporting documentation. An added advantage is that multiple people can have access to work on the same application.
Can I access previous applications and reports in the new system?
No. We recommend you download any previous applications and reports prior to 31 December 2025.
Who can I talk to if I need help?
You can use the Help function in the grant portal system or you can reach out to our team via foundation@newcastlepermanent.com.au
