Our Premium Plus Package provides a premium variable rate home loan product without the premium price tag.

For a limited time we are offering discounts off our Premium Plus Package Tier 4 variable home loan interest rate for owner occupied home loans that meet certain eligibility requirements. Discounted interest rates will vary depending on the type of repayments (principal and interest or interest only) and the applicable Loan to Valuation Ratio (LVR). Exclusions apply.

References to “interest only” on this page refer to loans with interest based repayments – please ask us for further details. References to "LVR" mean Loan to Valuation Ratio which is calculated by dividing the loan amount by the value of the property (as determined by us). There may be a difference between the purchase price and the value of the property.

At the current time, exclusions apply to refinancing of investment purpose home loans from another financial institution which have interest only repayments.

Comparison rates for variable rate loans with interest based repayments are calculated based on an initial 5 year period for interest based repayments. Comparison rates for fixed rate loans with interest based repayments are calculated based on an initial period for interest based repayments equal in length to the fixed period. ***Discounted interest rates available for new borrowers applying for a Premium Plus Package Home Loan for an owner occupied home with principal and interest repayments with a minimum balance of $150,000. Existing Newcastle Permanent borrowers are eligible to receive the discounted interest rate if they have or convert to a Premium Plus Package and increase their borrowings on the Premium Plus Package by a minimum of $150,000, for an owner occupied home loan with principal & interest repayments. The discounted interest rate is determined by reference to the applicable Loan to Valuation Ratio (LVR) as follows:
Discount 1 - For loans with an LVR of less than 80%, a discount of 0.63% is deducted from the Tier 4 Premium Plus Package Variable Rate
Discount 2 - For loans with an LVR of 80% and up to less than 90%, a discount of 0.53% is deducted from the Tier 4 Premium Plus Package Variable Rate
Discount 3 - For loans with an LVR equal to or greater than 90%, a discount of 0.53% is deducted from the Tier 4 Premium Plus Package Variable Rate
