Tasting Australia, 27 March – 5 April, Adelaide

As one of the Hunter’s renowned annual events, Lovedale Long Lunch has been drawing a crowd for more than 25 years. Food and wine lovers are treated to a day of delectable delights and live entertainment at a variety of stunning wineries across the Hunter Valley.

Vivid, 22 May – 13 June, Sydney

Sydney really turns it on for this festival, which brings together creativity, innovation and technology to light up the city with three weeks of events and activities. Now in its twelfth year, the festival is the largest of its kind in the southern hemisphere, thrilling spectators with incredible light instillations, stimulating ideas and music performances from all genres.

Frozen the Musical, From 7 July, Sydney

Elsa, Anna and friends are sending their magic to the Sydney stage from July this year. The adaption will bring Arendelle to life and the beloved tale of sisterhood is sure to warm the hearts of kids and adults of all ages.

Splendour in the Grass, 24 – 26 July, Byron Bay

Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix, 12 – 15 March, Melbourne

20 of the world’s most elite drivers take to the 5.3km track in Albert Park for this thrilling race, which is the home track for Australia’s golden child, Daniel Ricciardo. With drivers reaching speeds of over 300km and pulling up to 6G at times, this fast-fuelled event isn’t one you’ll forget in a hurry.

ICC T20

For the first time ever, Australia will play host to the International Cricket Council (ICC) T20 World Cup. In another first, the Women’s competition will be staged in a standalone event from 21 February – 8 March in various cities, while the Men’s tournament will be held from 18 October – 15 November.

City2Surf, 9 August, Sydney

Take to the streets of Sydney with 80,000 others and walk or run the 14km track as it winds its way from Hyde Park to iconic Bondi Beach.
