Newcastle Permanent’s Cinema Under the Stars program returns for its 13th season, with thousands expected at the first two events in Ballina and Lismore this weekend.
The iconic program will light up the night in 14 regional communities between November and February, providing a night of free entertainment to thousands of families.
Each event will kick off at 5.30pm with live music and fun activities for the kids, including circus workshops and a football kicking target, before the sun goes down and the screen lights up for a blockbuster movie under the stars.
Entry is free for everyone and people are encouraged to bring along their picnic rugs and picnics, or purchase food and non-alcoholic drinks at the event.
