See the magnificent spectacle of the lilac-blossomed trees that grow in Grafton’s tree lined avenues

Prince Street, Grafton

A purple rain of Jacaranda leaves will cover the streets of Grafton in November, ahead of the annual week-long Jacaranda Festival, starting on Saturday 27 October.

The festival started in 1934 and was Australia’s first folk festival. Newcastle Permanent is proud to sponsor this year’s Float Procession on Saturday 3 November and we are encouraging the community to join us in this social, family-friendly, community event.

The Jacaranda Festival offers events and activities for everyone including a fun run, art and exhibitions, river feast, and river light festival - plus much more.
