Set in the backdrop of iconic King Edward Park, Carols by Candlelight is a staple of the festive season.

Pack a picnic and settle in for an evening of Christmas performances from a host of local artists. 

This free event starts at 5.30pm with the Carols commencing at 7.00pm. 

Get in early to secure a great spot, enjoy the free carnival rides and soak up the atmosphere. 

Free parking is available in King Street (East) Car Park supported by a free shuttle service from 5.00pm to 9.30pm. 

There will be coffee and food vans, along with a special visit from Santa on the night!

Lake Macquarie Council Carols by Candlelight

When: Sunday 10 December 2017

Time: 6.00pm

Where: Speers Point Park

Bring the family and a picnic to relax by the picturesque beauty of the lake and be entertained by talented local performers and special guests. 

This free event will have kids activities all day before carols kick off at 6.30pm. The evening will end with a spectacular display of fireworks at 9.00pm.

Rotary Medowie Community Carols

When: Friday 1 December 2017

Time: 6.00pm 

Where: Ferodale Oval, Medowie

Come join the Medowie community while students from four local Primary Schools; Wirreanda Public, Medowie Public, Medowie Christian and Salt Ash Public Schools come together to entertain the crowds at Ferodale Oval, Medowie from 6.00pm. 

All your family favourites will be performing at this free event and the evening will wrap up around 8.30am. 

Cessnock City Council Carols in the Park

When: Friday 1 December 2017

Time: 6.30pm 

Where: Cessnock Sports Ground

Come sing along with an assortment of local entertainers, shop at the market stalls and stay for a special visit from Santa at the free event, Cessnock City Council Carols in the Park. 

Carols commence from 6.30pm and the evening will end at 8.30pm.
