The Newcastle Permanent Charitable Foundation Founders’ Group was established in May 2019

Since its establishment in 2003,Over the past 15 years the Foundation has been fortunate to call on the services of committed Directors and officers with a passion to help others by giving their professional skills, wise counsel and perseverance to help shape the organisation we have today. These skills have provided the Foundation with sound corporate governance and strategy development, trusted community network and stakeholder engagement to delivering our operations in the most effective and efficient manner throughout regional NSW. These past Directors and management have given their time and energy with integrity, fairness and passion. Their efforts have helped to make the Charitable Foundation more focused, robust and sustainable for a bright future. 

The Newcastle Permanent Charitable Foundation Founders’ Group was established in May 2019 to acknowledge those people who have made a significant contribution to the Foundation’s development over the years and, in doing so, help write our future.

We’re proud to introduce the The first inductees of the Newcastle Permanent Charitable Foundation Founders’ Group are:

  • Mr Barrie Lewis – inaugural Charitable Foundation Chair & Director (2003-2015)
  • Mr Michael MacDonald – Charitable Foundation Chair & Director (2004-2007)
  • The late Air Vice Marshall Jack Cornish (Ret) – former Newcastle Permanent Chair and Director and inaugural Charitable Foundation Community Director (2004-2007)
  • The late Michael Slater – Newcastle Permanent Charitable Foundation Chair (2007-2016) & Director (2017)
  • Ms Samantha Martin-Williams – Community Director & then NPBS appointed Director (2014-2017)
  • Ms Julie Ainsworth – Community Director (2012-2019)
  • The late Karen Brown – first Foundation Manager (2003-2005)
  • Mr Jason Bourke – first Foundation Executive Officer (2005-2016)
