Secure Internet Banking is one of our ongoing priorities. That's why we have VerifID, to make our Internet Banking service safer than ever.
VerifID is a free service available to Newcastle Permanent members using Internet Banking. It provides an additional layer of security for BPAY® and other transfers through Internet Banking.
How does it work?
At the time of making some transfers, BPAY® and Batch Payments you will receive an automated call to your nominated home, work or mobile phone which provides you with the VerifID code to complete your transaction. All you need to do is enter the VerifID code into the Internet Banking screen to complete your transaction.
Why do I need VerifID?
While it's a simple step, this extra layer of security provides greater peace of mind for your Internet Banking payment transactions.
Register for VerifID today
If you are a current Internet Banking customer and are not registered for VerifID all you need to do is nominate up to 3 phone numbers which VerifID can use to contact you, and some personal identification information.
To register simply drop into your local branch or call our Member Support Centre on 13 19 87 to nominate your phone numbers for VerifID today.

To register for Internet Banking and VerifID, simply phone our Member Support Centre on 13 19 87 or download and complete the Internet Banking Application form (PDF - 216kb) and take it to any of our branches.
