Home Lender of the Year 2011
Once again, Newcastle Permanent has been named 'Home Lender of the Year' at the Financial Review Smart Investor Blue Ribbon Awards 2011 – ahead of all the major banks. This is the second time in three years - first in 2009 and now again! That’s great news for our home loan members because you know you're getting some of the best home loans in the country.
Building Society of the Year 2011
Newcastle Permanent has also walked away with the 'Building Society of the Year' Award at the Financial Review Smart Investor Blue Ribbon Awards 2011. But it's the reason we win so many awards that really makes us proud. You see, our mutual banking model shares the value created by Newcastle Permanent with our members and the communities they live in, as opposed to maximising profits to generate shareholder returns like the listed banks.
And that's not all, at the Financial Review Smart Investor Blue Ribbon Awards 2011, we have also been announced the winner in the following two categories:
Australian Call Centre of the Year (<50 people category)
Newcastle Permanent has added the Australian Call Centre of the Year (<50 people category) title to the NSW Call Centre of the Year (<50 people category) title it won recently at the Australian Teleservices Association (ATA) Awards.
Money magazine's Best of the Best Awards 2011
Our Premium Plus Package (< $500,000) was awarded Gold in the 'Cheapest Home Loan Packages' and 'Cheapest Flexible Home Loans' categories for non-bank lenders in Money magazine's annual 'Best of the Best Awards'.
Each year Money magazine, with the help of the leading experts, review thousands of financial products and services to find the best deals for consumers. The results are published in the special 'Best of the Best 2011' edition of Money magazine.
