Our first Coin Toss Ambassadors for 2017 had the honour of getting the new season underway.

Monday, 16 October, 2017.

In front of a crowd of more than 12,000 people, Cooper Jackson, 9, and Flynn Richards, 10, started the 2017/2018 A-League season for the Central Coast Mariners and Newcastle Jets match.

Running out of the tunnel at Central Coast Stadium, meeting the team Captains and being the Newcastle Permanent Coin Toss Ambassadors for the first game was a huge honour for the two young football fans from Kariong.

But these boys are no strangers to fame; they host their own YouTube Channel called FC’s FC

Both boys just love football and they said it was ‘awesome’ when the Newcastle Permanent MarinersACTIVE Schools Program came to their schools.

Cooper, who plays for the Kariong United Cougars and Central Coast Football Academy, said his favourite players were Daniel McBreen, Mat Ryan and Alan Baro.

Flynn, who plays for the Central Coast Mariners Academy, named Mat Ryan, Tom Rogic and Connor Pain as his favourite players.

Newcastle Permanent has supported community football for more than 10 years, including grassroots football throughout Northern NSW Football and the MarinersACTIVE Schools Program and Holiday Clinics.

Supporting community football is just one of the ways we encourage children and families to live happy, healthy lives.
