How To Apply for a Savings or Transaction Account

Choosing your account

Take a close look at our range of Savings and Transaction accounts to find the one that is right for you. Our staff can also help you with your decision or can answer any questions you may have. You should read the Terms and Conditions, which contains the information you need to make an informed decision.

Opening your account

Print an application form below and visit any of our branches. You will also need to bring along identification in accordance with the ID check and your Tax File Number (TFN).

Identification

You will be required to provide identification in accordance with the ID check when you are opening a new account or becoming signatory to an account.

Why we need your Tax File Number (TFN)

It is not compulsory to provide your TFN but if you choose not to provide this or evidence of your tax file number exemption status, or if you are a non-resident, we are required by law to deduct:

  • Tax from any interest earned on your account at the maximum personal tax rate.
  • The Medicare levy.

Note: If you are opening a joint account we will require the TFN for each account holder.
