How do you apply for a Value+ credit card online?
By accessing our information on how to apply for a Value+ Credit Card. Clicking on the Apply Online button will take you directly to the Online Credit Card Applications.
Can an applicant apply for a Business+ credit card online?
No. The only account that an applicant can apply for online is the Value+ credit card account.
What happens if the member requires assistance whilst completing their application form?
Applicants can contact our Member Support Centre on 13 19 87 who can provide assistance over the phone or alternatively can complete the application on the applicant's behalf.
Who can apply online?
All eligible applicants as per our existing credit policy with the exception of pensioners and self-employed. Both pensioners and self-employed will still be required to complete a paper-based application due to potential complexities regarding income documentation.
What happens after the application has been submitted?
Once you have completed and submitted your application a confirmation page will appear. This page confirms that your application has been lodged and advises what the next steps will be.
Where does the applicant send the income documentation?
Applicants can choose which channel is most convenient from the following options:
- Fax to the Credit Card Department on 4904 2914; or
- Post documentation to PO Box 5001, HRMC Newcastle. Att: Credit Card Dept; or
- Drop off at your local branch to be forwarded to Credit Card Dept
What other methods can an applicant apply for a Value+ credit card?
Applicants can still apply for a Value+ credit card by completing a paper-based application form or by contacting our Member Support Centre on 13 19 87 who are able to take the application over the phone.
Can the Value+ credit card account still be added to Internet and or Phone Banking if the applicant applied for the account online?
Yes. All Value+ credit cards can be added to Internet and or Phone Banking regardless of which channel the applicant applied for the account through.
Can members apply for a credit limit increase online?
No. At this stage the online credit card application does not cater for credit card limit increases. Members will be required to complete the existing paper based credit limit increase application form.
Are there any reward schemes attached to the online account?
No. However the Value+ Credit Card does offer a low annual fee and highly competitve interest rates.
Are applicant details secure?

Who do applicants contact if they have not received a response to their application within 10 days?
All enquiries regarding Value+ Credit Card applications should be made via the Member Support Centre on 13 19 87.
