How to apply

All our jobs fit into either work based at a branch or work outside of a branch. Applying for a job is a simple process. You can apply online.

 

Branch Positions

Step 1: The application

Once you have found a position from our current vacancies listing, follow the links to complete an online application form and submit your resume. We will notify you to confirm that your application was successfully received.

Step 2: Online questionnaire

Upon inital shortlisting, you will be requested to complete an online questionnaire. This will involve answering various questions in relation to the position.

Step 3: Assessment Centre

After successfully completing the questionnaire, you will be invited to attend a Branch Assessment Centre. This will involve you participating in various assessment activities that are designed to reflect the role of a Member Service Officer and give you an opportunity to demonstrate the skills and behaviours required for the role.

Step 4: Face-to-face interview

After successfully completing an assessment we will invite you to attend an interview with a HR and branch representative. This interview will likely be in the form of a behavioural interview. This will help us guage your aptitude for the position.

Step 5: Reference checks

We conduct at least two employment related reference checks with previous employers. We will not conduct any reference checks without first gaining your permission.

Step 6: Background check

Employment within NPBS is conditional upon passing a probity check. This includes a criminal history check and bankruptcy check. We will advise if you are required to complete a Background Check Form.

Step 7: Offer 

The final stage of the recruitment process is the employment offer.

 

All other positions

Step 1: The application

Once you have searched for and selected a position from our current vacancies listing, follow the links to complete an online application form and submit your resume. We will notify you to confirm that your application was successfully received.

Step 2: Face-to-face interview

If you meet the criteria for the position we will invite you to attend an interview.

Step 3: Psychometric/Ability testing

Depending on the position you may be asked to complete psychometric or ability testing such as verbal and numerical or personality profiling.

Step 4: Reference checks

We conduct at least two employment related reference checks with previous employers. We will not conduct any reference checks without first gaining your permission.

Step 5: Background check

Employment within NPBS is conditional upon passing a probity check. This includes a criminal history check and bankruptcy check. We will advise if you are required to complete a Background Check Form.

Step 6: Offer 

The final stage of the recruitment process is the employment offer.

We will provide verbal feedback throughout the recruitment process and you will be notified by phone if you are unsuccessful after attending the interview stage of the recruitment process.
