Here for Good
Who we are:
Here for good is more than just our advertising slogan, it reflects who we are. As a mutual building society we have no shareholders to pay. Instead we return our profits to our members and the regional communities we operate in through better interest rates, competitive fees and financial support through our extensive sponsorship program and the Newcastle Permanent Charitable Foundation.
Our heritage, which dates back to 1903, and our financial strength are also reflected in our slogan, here for good. We are the largest building society in Australia in terms of net assets* and a major economic entity in the Hunter Region, with total assets of over $7.4 billion.
What we do:
As a complete retail financial services provider, Newcastle Permanent provides a genuine alternative to traditional banks for a range of financial services including the day to day needs of personal and business banking members.
Besides an extensive network of branches and ATMs, Newcastle Permanent also offers comprehensive electronic banking services that allow our members to conveniently and efficiently conduct their financial business.
Where we are:
Our operational area includes the Central Coast and the Hunter regions, the Mid North Coast (branches at Forster, Taree, Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour), New England (branches at Tamworth & Armidale), and the Northern Rivers (branches at Lismore & Ballina). Mobile Community Lending Managers and a branch in Parramatta help to extend this footprint south to the Sydney market.
What we're here for:
Newcastle Permanent has a long and distinguished history of returning benefits to our community. This is demonstrated in the competitiveness of our products and services, excellence in customer service, an extensive branch network and a significant level of support for a wide range of community based initiatives that help to improve the quality of life for the people of those communities. We truly are here for good.
That's what we're here for.
