Purchase of a Sunshine Coach for the Mid North Coast

Variety provide mobility to disadvantaged, sick and seriously disabled children through purchasing equipment and services that directly improve the quality of life of these children. Variety also works with local schools to assist with educational needs and provide critical equipment to children’s hospitals. Variety receives no government support and raises all funds through individual or corporate support.

Funds were approved to partner with Variety on the purchase of a Sunshine Coach for disadvantaged and disabled children on the Mid North Coast. The Coach would be based at Port Macquarie but service the Taree/Forster area as well as the Hastings.

Sunshine Coaches allow children to participate in recreational, vocational and life experience activities they would not normally get an opportunity to experience. Over 1,000 of these coaches have been donated by Variety to communities throughout Australia.
