Healthy Kids – Right from the start program

Home-Start National Inc is a national volunteer not-for-profit organisation committed to promoting the welfare of disadvantaged parents and their children. Home Start's vision is a society in which every parent has the support they need to give their children the best possible start in life. Home Start National receives funding from the NSW Department of Community Services to run programs in a range of regional locations. The head office of Home Start National is in New Lambton

Funds were approved to establish the "Healthy Kids – Right from the start" program which aims to address the escalating rates of childhood obesity within the Hunter region. This program is particularly focused on approximately 250 disadvantaged families who are currently registered with Home Start National.
