Families in Crisis program

Central Coast Kids in Need (CC Kids) is a not-for-profit organisation that was formed in 1993 as a Volunteer Fundraising Group to help burdened parents with seriously ill children who reside on the Central Coast.

CC Kids raise funds to assist local families with accommodation and fuel expenses so they can remain close to their ill child while they receive treatment in Sydney or Newcastle Hospitals. CC Kids reimburse fuel costs for parents who travel a minimum of 4 hours daily to hospital and are unable to stay overnight due to work or family commitments.

Children assisted by CC Kids are cancer patients, children with organ transplants and premature babies with life threatening issues. These children endure prolonged and frequent stays in hospital.

Funds were sought to assist over 100 seriously ill children from the Central Coast, and their families with financial support for accommodation expenses during treatment in Sydney and Newcastle hospitals.
