Visa Easy Payment Service

A new 'No Sign, No PIN' payment system for transactions up to $35 has recently been introduced.

This payment service is known as 'Fast Pay' at some Coles, Kmart and McDonald's outlets.

Fast Pay enables cardholders to make purchases of $35 or less without the need to sign or enter a PIN, by using the ‘credit’ button at a participating merchant.

Fast Pay is not available where cash out is required.

Fast Pay is currently offered by major chains including Coles supermarkets, McDonalds restaurants and Kmart stores. It is expected that other high-volume merchants such as supermarkets, department store, fast food outlets and taxis to begin offering Fast Pay soon.

Although the member is not required to verify the purchase with a signature or PIN, the transaction is still electronically authorised through our usual systems. Transactions are also limited to amounts of $35 or less to reduce the risk of loss.

Loss of Card

Please report lost or stolen Newcastle Permanent Value+ Credit cards immediately on 13 19 87 (or if overseas call +61 2 4907 6501). This service is open 24 hours.
